The VI Peel can Jumpstart Springtime Renewal

VI peel, Cincinnati, OH Chemical peels have long been performed as a way to revive the skin’s natural glow. This method of exfoliation is known for removing the uppermost layer of skin cells. You know, the ones that are damaged or destroyed by the sun and the effects of aging. Another thing that chemical peels are known for is harshness. Many people imagine that their skin will be red and swollen after a chemical peel and that they will peel for days on end. This idea needs to be put to rest. The VI peel proves that this exfoliating technique needn’t be harsh to be powerful.

We are pleased to offer the VI peel in our Cincinnati office. This treatment offers the advantages gained through traditional peel techniques without the lengthy downtime. In fact, there really is no downtime to speak of after a VI peel.

How the VI Peel Rejuvenates the skin

The VI peel utilizes a proprietary blend of mild acidic ingredients to dislodge dead and damaged cells so new cells can be revealed. Ingredients include:

  • Phenol – to reduce deep lines and creases
  • Retin-A – to soften fine lines and wrinkles
  • Salicylic Acid – to reduce inflammation and encourage cellular renewal
  • Trichloroacetic Acid (TCA) – To stimulate collagen and smooth the skin
  • Vitamin C – an antioxidant that brightens skin tone

How the VI Peel Boosts Beauty

After a VI peel, patients notice:

  • Smoother skin
  • Less obvious lines and wrinkles
  • Improved tone and radiance with fewer sunspots
  • Smaller pores
  • Reduced signs of melasma
  • Reduced inflammation from acne and lighter acne scarring
  • Improved tissue firmness due to increased collagen
  • Elimination of precancerous cells

The VI peel is not just an effect beauty-booster, it is a process that feels more like a pampering spa treatment. Immediately after this peel, patients can go right back to normal activity, even returning to work if they so choose. Most experience virtually imperceptible redness and flaking that is manageable with a daily moisturizer.

We Have What You Need for Gorgeous Eyes

Brow Lift Surgery | Eyelid Surgery Cincinnati OH It is interesting how we look at our own eyes. We often don’t know how much they matter to our appearance until the signs of aging begin to creep in. It is nearly impossible to go through a lifetime without facing certain concerns related to the way our eyes look. That is one of the downsides of aging. On the up-side, we’ve got ways to manage these concerns, or even correct them for a long period of time. Here is what we routinely help people address with eyelid rejuvenation in our Cincinnati office.

Reasons for Eyelid Surgery

  • Hooded eyelids. The upper eyelids naturally look older when tissue sags to such an extent that the crease and curvature of this area is lost. In some instances, sagging becomes so severe that vision is obstructed. What to do: the way that we correct upper eyelid hooding depends on the severity of the problem and its actual cause. When the problem is excess skin, we can remove it with blepharoplasty. When the problem is that the brow is being pulled downward, pushing on the delicate skin of the upper eyelid, we may be able to inject BOTOX to reduce that pull. Another option would be to surgically lift the brow.
  • Undereye bags. Undereye puffiness is a prevalent problem affecting adults of all ages. The direct cause could be the natural aging of the skin, or there may be hereditary factors involved. Ultimately, puffiness occurs when overlying skin weakens enough to allow fat pads to protrude. This means that bags could get worse over time. What to do: One of the most common methods of treating undereye bags is to disguise them. We do this with dermal fillers in a treatment that takes less than 30-minutes. When bags are substantial or classified as festoons, or a patient wants longer lasting results, lower eyelid blepharoplasty is an appropriate approach.
  • Crepey skin. If you haven’t already heard, the skin around the eyes is some of the most delicate on your body. Everything from rubbing the eyes to spending time in the sun can degrade this tissue. Lines and wrinkles worsen as the skin becomes ultra-thin. What to do: What is needed for thin skin is support in the form of collagen. Non-surgical laser treatments may be ideal for the achievement of this goal.
